A dynamic young wind ensemble based in Sydney, the Orpheus Quintet was formed at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The group is quickly building a reputation for vibrant performances, musical precision, and an infectious passion for collaboration.

The quintet participated in the Pathways Program at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music in 2025 and have been invited to be the festival’s Fellowship Ensemble for 2026. They were selected to take part in a masterclass with the LA Philharmonic Wind Quintet during their Australian tour, and the quintet has had the privilege of being mentored by Shefali Pryor, Lloyd Van’t Hoff and Andrew Barnes.
